WealthOS

Active

A private personal wealth tracker for Android — net worth, investments, SIPs, fixed deposits and goals, with every record kept on the device and nothing sent anywhere.

FlutterDartRiverpodDriftSQLiteAndroid

The APK is a direct install outside the Play Store — Android will ask you to allow installs from this source the first time.

The problem

I was tracking my net worth — cash, fixed deposits, mutual fund folios, SIPs, a few savings goals — in a spreadsheet. It worked, until it didn’t: a formula broke when a row got inserted in the wrong place, there was no real history of net worth over time beyond whatever snapshot I’d last saved, and more than once the same deposit ended up counted toward two different goals because nothing stopped me from double-booking it. None of that is a spreadsheet problem, exactly — it’s what happens when you ask a grid of cells to be an application.

What it tracks

WealthOS tracks net worth across cash, deposits, mutual funds and metals, computes gain and return against what was actually invested, follows SIP contributions and consistency, and builds a net-worth trend from monthly snapshots automatically. Goals are funded from named assets rather than a running total, so the double-counting bug that motivated the whole thing is now structurally impossible — an asset funding a goal is committed, not just noted.

Built for India

Built for Indian users specifically — rupee amounts in lakh and crore, an April–March financial year, and first-class support for PPF, EPF, NPS and sovereign gold bonds, instead of being retrofitted onto a tool designed around dollars and a calendar-year FY.

Privacy by construction

Most personal finance apps want your bank credentials or read your SMS to auto-detect transactions. WealthOS takes the opposite position: you record what you hold, it does the arithmetic, and the data never leaves your phone. No account, no servers, no analytics, and no internet permission in the manifest at all — not “we don’t send data,” but “the app cannot.” The app locks behind a PIN with biometric unlock, and backup/restore is a plain JSON file you control, so the data stays portable and inspectable instead of trusting it to disappear into a cloud account.

Under the hood

Flutter with Riverpod over a Drift/SQLite database, feature-first, with the financial logic — gain calculations, goal funding, SIP consistency — covered by tests rather than checked by hand.
